Hi, Am new to this site and I just made an account. I am interested in the "Job Ready in Partnership with Citigroup" part time course but am not sure whether to apply for it or not be cause it might clash with my media course in another college. Is there a way I can find out the lesson times?

I went with 3 cousins to the park for a week to go kayaking, canoeing and mountain biking. We had a fantastic week with very nice and kind tutors. Thank you all so very much.

Something has clearly gone sadly wrong!

The web site has not worked properly.

Different boroughs are allowed to have different criteria and even different enrolment dates.

A total disaster!

A wonderful idea and last year I got onto two courses. Nothing this year.

Its impossible to contact anyone in the management of this operation. They dont quote telephone numbers and the general number is rarely answered and if you leave a message they never call back.

Can anyone give a telephone number for the Chief Executive?

He is so lucty to even get onto any course.

This year I was not accepted onto any!

VERY BAD NEWS !

You are lucky to be able to get onto any course at all.

I have not been selected for any.

The web site does not work properly. Every borough has different requirements and cut off dates. No co-ordination at all.

That was very bad news and even sadder that those running it seem to be so uninterested in answering their telephones or calling back or even trying to make sure that it operates properly.

I wonder how many people applied and how many actually got onto any course! Whats the chance of anyone there bothering to reply here or to explain on the Home Page exactly why its gone so wrong this year?

Like apparently so many others I did not get onto any courses.

It took ages for me to be even able to enrol as the web site was blocking applications from outside Tower Hamlets even though this should not have happened. Eventually I spoke to someone who unblocked it for me.

But rather as expected I recerved no communication in respect of any of the courses I applied for!

NO COURSES FOR ME THIS YEAR ! NOT GOOD NEWS !

Hi Shylene,

The reply that anyone can apply for courses in other boroughs was from last year in the year 2010. It seems the comment was copied and pasted into the forum comment section by a user this year. Apologies for that.

This year, because a limited number of boroughs are running Futureversity courses, the courses are mainly open to applicants who live, work or study in the borough, hence the reason why you may not have been given a place on your chosen courses.

We are sorry to hear you didn’t get the chance to speak to someone at the office. Our busiest times are during the summer and we try our very best to get back to callers as soon as possible. Our email address is info@futureversity.org, so always feel free to drop us an email and somebody would get back to you as soon as they can.

We wish you all the best

Thank you

Hi Layla,

Some boroughs are not participating this year due to funding cuts, but please do contact your local borough, as they might be able to direct you to some free activities and/or courses running within your borough this summer.

If you need any help, please do get in touch with us on 0207 247 7900 or email us at info@futureversity.org

Best of luck! :-)

This reply that anyone can apply for courses in other boroughs is totally wrong and from someone whose forum name implies he works in FutureVersity.

Enfield specifically state that on their own page under the FutureVersity.

The whole booking procedure is clearly NOT working properly and the postings above demonstrate that.

All applications we have made have come back with those three reasons for rejection. We have not got onto ANY courses like so many others.

Last year they did a survey of participants and 15% said they hads difficulty using the booking procedure. But that survey ONLY asked those who had actually got onto a course. They conveniently did not ask those who had failed to get a course!

You cannot get to speak to the FutureVersity head office and just get an answerphone where nobody ever calls you back.

Sometimes the individual borough numbers are answered but thats usually by someone who does not know whats going on.

Its time someone took control of the FutureVersity operation and ensured that it functions properly and knowledgeable people do answer their phones.

With so many complaints its not surprising the Chief Executive does not give her phone number!
