October Young Volunteer Project

This October be part of a team of young volunteers to create an art installation for the National Maritime Museum as part of Black History Month 2017. Explore the link between Africa and its Diaspora through storytelling and art making, and make your voice heard.

To become a volunteer you must:
 Be open to try new things! You don’t need to have an interest in heritage.
 Be aged 15-18
 Live or study in the Royal Borough of Greenwich
 Be available to volunteer for all 5 days of the project from Monday 23 rd to Friday 27 th
October, 10:30-4:30 each day

Where will the project take place?
The project will mostly take place at the National Maritime Museum, Romney Road, Greenwich, SE10 9NF.
There may be some off-site trips. Any travel to locations further afield will be organised and paid for by the museum. A full timetable will be issued to volunteers in advance of the project.
