The Futureversity Programme
Our courses are unique and many link directly to potential careers.
We work closely with young people to make sure we’re providing the best courses with the most interesting partners. They range from investment banking to tourism, first aid to cake making - the list is nearly endless! Courses are free or affordable and offer the chance to try something different, get inspired and make new contacts which could lead to all sorts of new possibilities. Most courses last a week although some are as short as a day and they're held in venues ranging from universities to recording studios!
Who coordinates a Futureversity programme?
Futureversity programmes are coordinated by a lead partner which has an interest in providing a wide range of activities for young people. This could be a local authority, a voluntary organisation or a partnership of both. The lead body is responsible for building the Futureversity programme and operates under the Futureversity Partnership Agreement.
Who delivers a Futureversity course?
Anyone who's an expert in their field or can enthuse young people about their particular skills. Qualified tutors, organisations, commercial companies, anyone interested in passing on their skills or company employees who want to volunteer to work with young people.
We've had tutors who were:
- Bankers
- Chefs
- Dance instructors
- Film companies
- Solicitors
- Sports Coaches
If you're over 18, you'll need to comply with Child Protection checks and guidelines.
