What is the Futureversity Partnership Agreement?

From November 2010 all Futureversity programmes will be delivered under the Futureversity Partnership Agreement. This lets a lead organisation have access to all the resources and support that's needed to deliver a Futureversity programme.

Why a Partnership Agreement?

Futureversity programmes are delivered as a Partnership Agreement to make sure that young people, parents, providers, partners and funders can be certain that the programme is delivered to a consistently high standard wherever they live.

Through a protected brand together with the bespoke Futureversity Quality Assurance Framework,  partners delivering Futureversity programmes can be confident that all in the Network will reflect the high standards that they've put into their local programme.

What's included?

The Futureversity Partnership Agreement gives provides access to 15 year of experience delivering award winning informal education activities to young people during school holidays. The agreement includes:

  • Undertaking a feasibility exercise
  • Holding a stakeholder engagement meeting
  • Training on all aspects of coordinating a Futureversity programme
  • Paper and electronic resources to accompany training and delivering programmes
  • Access to the Futureversity Registrations and Enrolments Database (FRED), our online, secure marketing and enrolment system
  • FRED training covering all aspects of how to use it
  • An illustrated FRED User Guide and access to the FRED Helpdesk
  • Membership of the Futureversity Network
  • Futureversity Network meetings
  • Regular mailings and updates on issues about delivering a Futureversity programme

Futureversity lobbies to both regional and national policy and decision makers on behalf of all Futureversity Network members. We're aiming to raise the profile of the network and to demonstrate - through case studies and statistics - that the Futureversity model is worthy of support and stability wherever it operates.

Who can apply?

A wide range of organisations can coordinate the Futureversity model under the agreement. The model has been successfully delivered by charities and community voluntary organisations, as well as a range of local authority departments. Other organisations that could coordinate a Futureversity programme include housing associations and not-for-profit organisations as well as partnerships built across sectors.

How much does the Futureversity Partnership Agreement cost?

In the first year the agreement costs £15,000.

In the second and subsequent years, the agreement costs £10,000. This reduction reflects the start up costs and services.

Please get in touch with us if you'd like to find out whether your organisation could coordinate a Futureversity programme under our agreement.

The Futureversity Network

The Futureversity Network offers everyone who plans, delivers and evaluates a Futureversity programme a place to:

  • Take part in workshops and presentations from specialists who can support their work
  • Learn about and influence Futureversity developments such as changes to FRED
  • Network with colleagues who work on similar projects in different sectors and other areas.

The network meets at regular intervals and keeps in touch by email throughout the year.
