A. Dee (Artful Dodger)
Artist
A Dee is widely credited with being one of the first aerosol writers to come out of the UK in the 80s. His career began when he quickly gained notoriety and media attention for his unique calligraphy style tag and went on to develop his art by painting inner-city walls, transforming depressed urban areas with bright colour and innovative urban art. Managing to make the successful transition from the streets to the corporate world, A. Dee has worked for companies including LucasFilm, BAA Heathrow Airport, MTV and The South Bank Show and has created backdrops, album sleeves and logos for music acts and record labels. He has also run many workshops for young people and corporations, encouraging people to develop their own creativity. He became a Patron for Futureversity in 1996.
